Since the media never presses this ridiculous woman on her outlandish stories, we may as well do their work for them. So Grandma is over in Europe pimping her latest unreadable ghostwritten book, and then she mysteriously showed up on a program in a walking boot, claiming to have a broken toe.
Let’s examine this tale:
Hillary Clinton canceled several media appearances Monday while on her book tour in London after she fell down the stairs and broke her toe.
“I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards,” Clinton told “The Graham Nortion Show.”
“I tried to get up and it really hurt. I’ve broken my toe. I’ve received excellent care from your excellent health service.”
First of all, this woman can barely climb stairs, let alone run down them. If you’re really wearing heels, would you not be extra precautious “running down” stairs? How many women have you seen, let alone a 70-year-old, who “run down” stairs in heels?
Now, if you had a cup of coffee in your hand, would you run down stairs while wearing heels? It’s just not plausible. In fact, do a search and see if you can even find a single photo of her carrying a cup of coffee, ever.
So that’s two obvious lies already.
Now, if you’re running down stairs in heels carrying a cup of coffee, would you be talking over your shoulder or concentrating on the running down the stairs while not spilling your coffee?
Again, this woman lies when there’s no need to, as always. She’s so gifted at it she can pack multiple lies into a single sentence.
And we’re still not done.
“I fell backwards,” she claims. Now, we’re not as experienced as Mrs. Clinton at falling down, but can anyone explains how one falls backwards while allegedly running down stairs in heels carrying coffee?
There’s just no credibility here.
There are apparently no witnesses, no video, nothing. We’re just supposed to believe some cockamamie story and pretend it’s reality. Sorry.
As William Safire famously said over 20 years ago, she’s a congenital liar, and has never changed.
Therefore, ask not “Why didn’t she just come clean at the beginning?” She had good reasons to lie; she is in the longtime habit of lying; and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends.
That was 1996. She’s still lying and still has never been called to account.
Some things never change.
