We have but one request for the Hollywood nitwits as their prolonged temper tantrum rolls on: Just keep talking.
Hollywood unleashed its contempt for Donald Trump Sunday night as the Golden Globes turned into a roast of the President-elect.
Host Jimmy Fallon kicked off the awards show — the first major red-carpet style event since last November’s election — with a wisecrack-filled monologue aimed at the billionaire before award winners, including Hugh Laurie and Meryl Streep, got their shots in.
Fallon, the “Tonight Show” host, went so far as to compare Trump to psychotic “Game of Thrones” villain King Joffrey.
“What would it be like if King Joffrey had lived?” Fallon said. “Well, in 12 days, we’re going to find out.”
Mocking the difficulty Trump has had scheduling stars for his inauguration, Fallon referenced Streep’s role as the world’s worst opera singer in “Florence Foster Jenkins.”
“Even she turned down performing at Trump’s inauguration,” he cracked.
Fallon then closed out the monologue by saying, “Of course, as always, the ballots for the Golden Globes were carefully tabulated by the accounting firm of ‘Ernst and Young and Putin.’”
Streep, a big supporter of Hillary Clinton, went on a long, impassioned rant against Trump after getting the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
She claimed TV and movie stars belong to “the most vilified segments in American society” — and that many of the biggest names in show business come from other countries.
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners, and if we kick them all out you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed-martial-arts, which are not the arts,” Streep said.
It’s going to be hilarious when the ratings come out and football outdrew this idiocy last night.
The stupid weighed in after Streep’s psychobabble:

OK, Sparky. Much of the media reacted predictably, so we’ll be hearing about this nonsense all week. And you just knew Trump would chime in:
Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a…..

Unbeknownst to Streep, America weighed in two months ago:

It's so brave of Meryl Streep to publicly express the only acceptable political opinion in her profession. Truly the hero we all deserve.

She’s so heroic. Now this really would be courageous:
You know what would be 'brave'? To stand in front of a crowd of rich lefties & ask them to privately fund Planned Parenthood. #GoldenGlobes

Powerful. Meanwhile, a reminder what Streep really stands for.
