A New York voter is suing Donald Trump and the Republican Party for $1 billion in compensation due to the emotional distress caused by candidate’s campaign of ‘intimidation, threats, and retaliation’.
Louis Tafuto of Warwick, New York filed papers with the United States District Court in the southern district of New York claiming Donald Trump is not fit to become president.
The papers lodged yesterday, claimed Trump was guilty of intimidation of voters, coersion of political activity, conspiracy against rights and interfering with the 26th Amendment of the constitutional right to vote.
Trump is accused of targeting ‘under-educated voters’ and getting them to believe their lives are ‘falsely under threat’.
Trump is joined in the case by his running mate Mike Pence, the Republican National Committee and it’s chairman, Reince Priebus.
Tafuto said he was suing the defendants for ‘punitive and compensatory damages in the amount of $1,000,000,000 for severe emotional pain, and suffering and for the deliberate and willful, obstruction of Plaintiff’s constitutional rights’.
He is also seeking an ‘order of protection against the defendants from making further false statements that incite violence, revolt, assassination, or insurrection’.
According to the court documents: ‘Donald John Trump’s words and actions have proven him wholly untruthful and therefore unqualified and incapable of taking an oath of office or honoring and international treaty as President of the United States.
‘Donald John Trump’s words and actions have proven he does not have the temperament, knowledge, or political belief to adhere to the principles of the US Constitution.’
