New York Values: Trump Called de Blasio a ‘Smart Guy’ Who Will Be ‘a Good Mayor’

It’s almost as if this guy just babbles on without thinking about what he says.

Billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump would probably be one of the last people to say nice things about Bill de Blasio, given the New York City mayoral hopeful’s desire to raise taxes on the wealthy.

But The Donald did just that Thursday, calling the Democrat a “smart guy” who “is not going to want to destroy New York” during an appearance on an Albany radio program.

“I think pretty strongly that he’ll end being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor, and I don’t think he’s going to want to kill the golden goose,” Trump is quoted as saying by the New York Daily News.

Never trust a liberal to properly assess a Communist. But he’s a TruCon or something:

He has to do business in Gotham.

How stupid is it to pick a fight with a vindictive Lefty?

May I point out one thing?

Trump has millions of dollars in real estate investments in NYC. Do you really expect him to get in front of a microphone and say ‘Can’t you guys see that De Blasio’s a commie’?

Yeah, praise the communist to make money. Thats a leader. He is only a billionaire…cant risk the mayor not liking him.

That is the most pathetic excuse ive ever heard. What is going on with people?

Trump is a phony who just yaps. He doesnt think about real issues.

The GOP primary is about his ego….nothing more.

If pushed, his instincts are NYC progressive, big government, authoritarian. How is that ok for a GOP candidate?

This is a great catch JWF. I hadnt seen this, yet, but my pile of stories about Trump parroting progressives, or saying something just plain stupid….keeps getting bigger.

Isn’t the excuse he has to do business there the same excuse Obama has for the Iran deal?
