In a surprise twist, she’s now working as a lap dancer. Girl’s got to pay the bills.
Mary Beth Haglin, 24, admitted romping with him almost every day for six months and sending him raunchy selfies.
One showed her stripped to black undies and leaning seductively against a wall.
Yet she told millions of TV viewers she was the victim because the 17-year-old seduced her.
But now a string of interviews about the affair have got her into even hotter water.
The brunette, who ended up working as a lap dancer called Bambi in a strip joint after she was sacked from school, was originally charged with sexually exploiting a minor.
It was classed as an aggravated misdemeanour with a maximum two-year prison sentence.
But she now faces a more serious sexual exploitation charge after prosecutors said they found new evidence from the interview she gave.
Haglin, who worked as a supply teacher in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, could be jailed for up to five years if convicted.
Papers filed by the Linn County Attorney’s Office say: “The defendant has participated in a series of public interviews in which she admitted engaging in a pattern or practice of sexual conduct with a student while employed as a teacher at Washington High School, which supports the more serious felony offence.”
Haglin, scheduled to enter a plea on November 4, gave a graphic account of her affair with the student when she appeared on the Dr. Phil show last week.
She had already filmed other revealing interviews with Inside Edition and Crime Watch Daily in September.
Haglin said her schoolboy lover compared their relationship to The Graduate movie with Dustin Hoffman and once called her “Mrs. Robinson” after Anne Bancroft’s character.
You’ve got to admire his knowledge of classic films, at least.
