So she sleeps with old dudes for money, but it’s not what you think. She’s just trying to squeeze by in New York City by banging older guys. That she’s stashed away $80,000 doing it is just a side benefit. She’s not at all concerned about her privacy since she’s posing for photos. Her parents must be so proud.
After a sushi dinner a few years ago, the date of Sara-Kate, then a college student living in Boston, suggested they go back to his place to test a kinky new sex position.
Post-coitus, the satisfied man — a 75-year-old married grandpa — experienced a medical emergency that forced him to boot her out as he called 911, but not before leaving $500 in cash on the dresser. She picked it up on her way out.
Sara-Kate, 26, who asked that her last name not be used for professional reasons, doesn’t consider herself a prostitute, but rather a “sugar baby” — a young woman who dates older men with money to spend.
She doesn’t want her name used for, ahem, professional reasons, yet she poses for photos. OK.
“Sex has never been a requirement or expectation — it’s like any other relationship,” she says. “[Cash is] definitely more in the vein of a gift than a transaction.”
And to this day, she doesn’t shy away from geezers.
“They’re nice, and very sweet,” says the MFA student, who lives in Manhattan and has squirreled away more than $80,000 in savings since adopting the lifestyle when she was a Tufts undergrad. “It’s better to date the married ones. They have limits, and the night always has to end at some point.”
It’s this and other tricks of the trade that she imparts to newbies in the art of landing a sugar daddy on Let’s Talk Sugar. The 4-month-old advice Web site is an offshoot of SeekingArrangement, where would-be sugar babies shack up with older, moneyed and married men.
We guess for now it’s better to go there than Ashley Madison, if you’re into that kind of thing. Well, until they’re hacked.
Let’s Talk Sugar schools cash-poor paramours in everything from where to find a sugar daddy (think upscale malls) to how much you should ask for in allowance — $500 per evening is the going rate. Sample articles include “Sugar Baby Diet Tips” and “5 Gifts To Ask for From the Neiman Marcus Holiday Mag.”
“The site is a focal point where women can go and get their questions answered,” says 24-year-old Brook Urick, one of the site’s developers. The Las Vegas-based brunette, who’s casually dating a 35-year-old, Maserati-driving day trader, wants to help inexperienced women have a forum for basic questions about the lifestyle. “It’s so nice to be able to help women.”
Sara-Kate’s been doling out advice since the site launch — and has the experience to back it up. The 5-foot-10 student — who majored in Mandarin and has taught at the New School — has about 30 or so sugar daddies under her garter belt.
Frankly, she should invest in some nicer shoes:
