Just imagine how quickly the barely mobile senior citizen would be plummeting if she faced any actual scrutiny from the media.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has a slight lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton in hypothetical presidential matchups in Iowa and Colorado, a new poll finds.
The former secretary of State’s lead is also shrinking against other possible GOP opponents, the poll released Thursday from Quinnipiac University found.
Paul’s small lead over the former senator and first lady in two presidential swing states puts the two candidates in a stastical dead heat.
In a hypothetical race in crucial early Iowa, Paul beat Clinton 43 percent to 42 percent. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who won the 2008 Iowa caucuses, is also tied her, both at 42 percent.
Her largest lead in the state is over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), whom she beats 44 percent to 40 percent.
Voters in the state were split on whether Clinton is honest and trustworthy and whether the questions over her use of a private email account at the State Department were important.
Paul’s lead was a little larger in Colorado. He garnered 44 percent support and Clinton got 41 percent. She is also basically tied with several other likely major Republican contenders in the state — including Walker and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.)
A majority of voters in the state, 56 percent, do not find her honest or trustworthy, while 38 percent do.
Like in Iowa, voters in Colorado are also split on the email scandal. Fifty-one percent said it was either very important or somewhat important, and 49 percent said it was not so important or not important at all.
A scandal almost entirely ignored by the leftwing media, which found itself in a snit over Rand Paul daring to talk back to a snotty reporter Wednesday. Meanwhile, the doddering Clinton bravely came out in agreement with the entire planet Wednesday. Or whoever manages her Twittter account did.
Praying for #WalterScott's family. Heartbreaking & too familiar. We can do better – rebuild trust, reform justice system, respect all lives.
