Move along, nothing to see here.
The Clinton Foundation has received more than $26 million from companies that also lobbied the State Department under Hillary Clinton, according to a Friday report.
Companies including General Electric, Exxon Mobil, Microsoft, Boeing worked with Clinton when she served as secretary of State, signing public-private partnership agreements or lobbying the agency for policy changes. But those firms also donated to the Clinton Foundation in droves.
Forty-four of the 60 companies that The Wall Street Journal identified also participated in philanthropic projects through the Clinton Global Initiative, projects valued at $3.2 billion. The Initiative doesn’t receive direct donations but is the part of the foundation that helps coordinate those partnerships.
There’s nothing illegal about these donations, as long as there was no quid pro quo.
“She did the job that every secretary of State is supposed to do and what the American people expect of them — especially during difficult economic times,” said Nick Merrill, a Clinton spokesma.
“She proudly and loudly advocated on behalf of American business and took every opportunity she could to promote U.S. commercial interests abroad.”
Sure she did. The Clintons are not only hopelessly corrupt, but shameless as well.
