Oblivious Obama says FIFA Should ‘Operate with Integrity and Transparency and Accountability’

Maybe so too should his administration, but let’s face it, seven years in we’ve all pretty much given up on that.

President Barack Obama on Monday made his first comments on the bribery probe enveloping soccer’s international governing body, saying the sport is a ‘massive business’ that needs to be run with integrity.

‘In conversations I’ve had here in Europe, people think it is very important for FIFA to be able to operate with integrity and transparency and accountability,’ Obama told reporters at a news conference after the G7 summit.

But he insisted that he won’t get in the middle of the international scandal while his own FBI is investigating whether crimes were committed on U.S. soil.

In in the spirit of integrity, transparency and accountability, we have a simple question: Where we you on the night of September 11, 2012?
