In this undated photo taken by the International Red Cross and provided by the family of Muhammed Rahim al-Afghani, Muhammed Rahim al-Afghani poses for a photo at Guantanamo Bay prison at the U.S. Naval Base in Cuba. Rahim who is being held with the most significant terrorism suspects in U.S. custody has apparently gained extensive knowledge of western pop culture in Guantanamo's Camp 7: the top secret prison-within-a-prison in Guantanamo Bay. Nearly five years ago, Rahim became the last prisoner sent to Guantanamo. He was accused of helping Osama bin Laden elude capture. (AP Photo/International Red Cross via Rahim family)

Glad to see this terrorist scum has his priorities in order. He seems like quite a catch, ladies.

A detainee at Guantanamo Bay has set up an online dating profile saying he is “detained but ready to mingle,” according to his lawyer.

Muhammad Rahim al-Afghani, an Afghan who has been held by the CIA since 2007 and is classified as a “high-value” detainee, appears to have an account on the dating site Match.com.

In a letter to Carlos Warner, his lawyer, the man described by the United States government as a “close associate” of Osama bin Laden also expresses concern over the hacking of the adultery website Ashley Madison.

This is terrible news about Ashley Madison, please remove my profile immediately!!!” Afghani wrote in a letter dated July 21. “I’ll stick with Match.com even though you say it is for old people. There is no way I can do Tinder in here.”

Al-Jazeera America reports that while Afghani does not actually have an Ashley Madison account, there is a Match.com profile set up in his name which is monitored by Warner.

In another letter, Afghani refers to the presidential candidate Donald Trump as an “idiot,” and refers to Trump’s comments that senator John McCain was not a war hero despite having been a prisoner of war in Vietnam

“Sen McCain is a war hero. Trump is a war zero,” he writes. “How can a racist run for president?”

His letters also touch on American pop culture. Afghani wrote in July that he was “happy” for Caitlyn Jenner, the transgender reality-television star, “because people are born how they are.” He went on to question why Jenner was a Republican, and suggested to “tell her to use spray tan for her legs.”

It is unclear how Afghani has such up-to-date knowledge of American popular culture after seven years inside Guantanamo.

Curious, isn’t it? Frankly, we’re surprised he’s not a member of Organizing for America.
