The “Duck Dynasty” guy dumped Bobby Jindal for Donald Trump.
In a bizarre endorsement victory, the billionaire GOP frontrunner picked up support from “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson, who had previously backed Louisiana Governor Jindal.
“I do like me some Trump, I gotta admit,” Robertson said at a rally in Oklahoma Friday. “Here’s the deal. We’re both successful businessmen, we both have pretty big shows on television, and we both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us. So I like Trump.”
The blunt endorsement came after Trump coaxed the Southern reality TV star onto the stage during his speech as the Oklahoma State Fairground.
“Willie! Get over here! Look at this guy! Look at this guy! Willie do you love Trump?” Trump asked.
Robertson — who defended his dad Phil Robertson after the Duck patriarch made anti-gay comments in 2013 — first voiced his support for Jindal two years ago. But despite the newfound Trump love, Jindal claimed he has not lost Roberson’s vote.
H/T to Nino for the headline.
