Wot necessarily a surprise here since Trump has peaked already and is slowly hemorrhaging. While we don’t see Ben Carson holding up over time, the more interesting takeaway here is how many of the GOP candidates handily beat Granny Clinton. Even more surprising, one of them is Chris Christie.
Dr. Ben Carson is virtually tied with businessman Donald Trump in the latest Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. The poll also shows Carson with a lead of 10 points over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In a match-up of GOP candidates for the primaries, Trump got 24 percent of Republican votes, and Carson was at 23 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida had 14 percent, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was at 13 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was at 4 percent, according to the Quinnipiac Poll. None of the other candidate topped 3 percent, with 9 percent undecided, and 63 percent who might change their mind.
Clinton was the favorite of 53 percent of Democrats, with 35 percent would vote for Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, with 9 percent undecided and 44 percent who might change their mind.
In a general election match-up, Carson beat Clinton 50 to 40 percent. Clinton gets 46 percent to Trump’s 43 percent, Rubio tops Clinton 46 – 41 percent; Cruz gets 46 percent to Clinton’s 43 percent and New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie tops Clinton 46 – 41 percent.
Grandma, meanwhile, continues to flail about, haplessly jumping on any issue in a desperate attempt to gain traction. She failed badly on one Tuesday night. On another, she’s way out of step with mainstream America. We strongly encourage she continue down this path of certain doom.
I strongly encourage Democrats to continue running on Obamacare, gun control, and repealing the 1st amendment in 2016. Working out great.
