We’re sure there’s no coordination here. Just a woman running for president and a lefty darling both on message at the same time. Surely just a coincidence.
Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is calling for guaranteed paid family leave in a video message for Mother’s Day.
The former secretary of State said it is “outrageous” that the United States is “the only developed country” that does not guaranteed paid leave for workers who have children.
“At a time that should be so exciting and joyful, I see so many women just distraught,” Clinton said in voiceover during the roughly two-minute video posted on YouTube.
“They have to immediately go back to work. They don’t know how they are going to manage.”
Not that she’d know anything about struggling. Then along come this HBO twit Oliver, and if you look at the Mother’s Day hashtag all you see is the usual suspects tweeting the same nonsense:

Watch John Oliver SLAM Mother’s Day! He DESTROYS it.
Watch John Oliver use Mother's Day to slam the lack of paid maternity leave in the U.S. http://t.co/glIkiDYSpH

Weird how both Time and the Daily Beast both use “slam” in the headlines, huh?
And like clockwork, here comes the Journolist Juicebox Mafia:
