Unhinged Harry Reid Now Accusing Koch Brothers of Lawbreaking

Posted by on Mar 04, 2014 at 7:34 pm

You just knew this deranged jihad Harry Reid has been on would ultimately lead to him calling them criminals. If you think Democrats are beneath criminalizing political differences, talk to Dinesh D’Souza. Reid’s strategy is crystal clear right now.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday accused the bilionaire Koch brothers of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, among other unsavory deeds, upping the ante in his battle with the GOP mega donors.

Reid blasted away at Charles and David Koch, two of the nation’s richest industrialists, who have poured tens of millions of dollars into an effort to defeat Democrats in 2014.
“These are the same brothers whose company, according to a Bloomberg investigation, paid bribes and kickbacks to win contracts in Africa, India and the Middle East,” Reid said on the Senate floor, citing an October 2011 report by Bloomberg News. “These are the same brothers who, according to the same report, used foreign subsidiaries to sell millions of dollars of equipment to Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism.”

The Bloomberg report focused on Ludmila Egorova-Farines, a former compliance officer and ethics manager at Koch Industries, who uncovered the bribes.

Paying kickbacks to win contracts would violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The Koch brothers have drawn the ire of Democratic senators this year by funding Americans for Prosperity, a political advocacy group that has spent nearly $30 million against Democrats this cycle.

Reid said he will continue to slam the Kochs publicly as long as they continue to fund attack ads against Democrats.

“I’m not oblivious that my comments have caused some controversy. Anyone that’s turned on Fox News lately knows that I have gotten under their skin,” he said. “But I will continue to shine the light on their subversion of democracy.”

Citing a 2011 news story? This is his evidence? Oh, and he’s back on Twitter playing the village idiot:

Classy! Speaks volumes that while we’re in the middle of an international crisis the Senate Majority Leader has declared war on American citizens. Reid, meanwhile, is just part of a very disturbing pattern.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) launched another tirade against libertarian philanthropists Charles and David Koch on Tuesday over their maniacal efforts to “buy America.”

It was the latest salvo in the Democratic Party’s war against the septuagenarian brothers, both of whom are strong opponents of cancer. Reid had previously attacked the Kochs as “immoral and dishonest” and “about as un-American as anyone I can imagine.”

He’s not alone. Left-wing billionaire and reluctant democracy advocate Tom Steyer has mused that David Koch, a prostate cancer survivor who has donated more than $300 million to cancer research, will go down in history as a “famously evil person.”

Liberals have even gone so far as to question the integrity of a cancer patient who told her story in an ad produced by Americans for Prosperity, a Koch-affiliated pro-freedom advocacy group. In one of his earlier outbursts, Reid suggested that Julie Boonstra’s story was among the numerous “untrue” horror stories about Obamacare. Now Democrats are threatening her with legal action if she doesn’t shut up.

As Reid faces the end of his reign of error in the Senate expect him to become even more shrill, desperate and dangerous.

It’s about time that Republicans started challenging these slanderous allegations. They should go after the numerous billionaire sugar daddies of the Demonrats – especially Soros, Buffett, Steyer, Hollywood moneybags, ad nauseam.

Why doesn’t somebody try to get Reid to repeat his slanderous remarks away from the Senate floor, so he can be sued?

Whorehouse Harry (hat tip to Jerry D.) got hit on the head too much as a boxer.
