Stunner: Environmental Expert De Blasio Comes Out Against Fracking

Despite the widespread success of fracking around the country, the anti-capitalist environmental wackos are still preventing it in New York State. Considering the anti-business, anti-conservative beliefs of buffoons Andrew Cuomo and the Sandinista Mayor of New York, proponents of the common-sense fracking industry may as well just pack up and leave now.

Mayor de Blasio is jumping forcefully into the debate over fracking on upstate lands — calling it a danger to the city’s water supply.

Asked Thursday for his view of the drilling practice, also known as hydraulic fracturing, de Blasio first noted that “my purview is the five boroughs” before sounding off on the hot-button environmental issue.

“The one thing I am firm about is that I don’t see any place for fracking,” he told reporters.

“The science simply isn’t reliable enough. The technology isn’t reliable enough. And, there’s too much danger to our water supply, to our environment in general.”

De Blasio said there should be a statewide moratorium on fracking “until the day comes that we can actually prove it’s safe and I don’t think that day is coming any time soon.”

No amount of evidence will convince Luddites like De Blasio of the proven  effectiveness of fracking. They know what they don’t know and nothing will open closed minds. Let’s face it, anything that proves them wrong must be banned. Do you need need any more evidence how stupid these people are?

FIVE studies under Cuomo have said it is safe. I work in the gas fields of N.E. Pa. A watershed area for the Chesapeake. Out of 255 wells, we’ve had 1 minor spill, that was remedied w/in hours.
Nobody is gonna place a well next to a resovoir.
Luddites indeed. Pa/NJ has to clear-cut mountain tops and lush valleys to supply power to NYC, but they won’t do anything for themselves. Where do they think the power comes from? Let The Hoi-Polloi live in the F’ng dark.

There’s a strange link in the story. One expects to be taken to a story which references the many studies concluding that fracking is a relatively benign technology. But instead the story describes some of the individuals who have invested in fracking and are reaping the finanical rewards. At the bottom it states “The success of fracking has come with numerous environmental problems, including spills, chemicals in the water table and harmful emissions.” Did you actually read your own link?

I don’t think New York City is being seriously considered as a fracking site there, yeronner.

Apparently he has a different standard of proof when it comes to Global Weirding.

Man did NYC really screw the pooch when they elected a dummy like DeBlasio. Where is your geology degree DeBlasio? Where is your chemistry degree DeBlasio? Where are your FACTS that fracking is dangerous DeBlasio? You have NONE of those things I just mentioned. The only reason your dumb ass is against fracking is because it helps the citizens of this country and saves them money instead of all that money going right into your communist loving pockets. NYC what in holy heaven where you thinking of when you elected this communist idiot clown and his grafter family? How did you go from a really good mayor like Guilianni to a looser like DeBlasio who is so insecure that he doesn’t even use his true name. He is already throwing his weight around like a true coward communist. Good going NYC, you deserve an idiot like DeBlasio, enjoy your fall into Detroit like ruin.

I grew up in upstate New York. NYC gets its drinking water from a reservoir in Westchester County, hundreds of miles away from the part of the state where this activity might take place. This guy is an idiot.

This is not a problem. Give the city of New York and its residents the more expensive energy they’re seemingly asking for.

Post 7; In a perfect world-great idea. However, in upstate New York-every one pays a real estate transfer tax conjoined with NYC raid on the electrical power generated from Niagara falls that enables the mass transit system of NYC to exist.

The real issue is NYC should be the 51st state and leave the rest of the state to proper without its parasitic host ,perverted De Blasio as the head pathogen.

Post 7: Great idea. However, NYC already raids electrical power from Niagara Falls conjoined with a real estate Transfer tax from western NY.The only solution is to have NYC become the 51st state and remove this parasitic organism from the rest of the state.
