This outrageous story broke on Sunday, the principal was exposed on Monday and has become national news for the sheer outrageousness of it all.Even Bill DeBlasio has expressed his shock as the Department of Education investigates:
PS 106’s terrible conditions drew a response from City Hall.
“The allegations in the paper were deeply troubling, and we’re not going to see our children not get the finest education,” Mayor de Blasio said. “Every school has to provide the best possible education.
But after being repeatedly called out on it, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten pretends she has no knowledge of it because it was reported in the New York Post. Just pitiful:

But hey, why should Weingarten give a rat’s ass. She’s living large, so screw the children.
On June 24, 2009, Weingarten announced she would step down from her post as president of the United Federation of Teachers effective July 31, 2009. The New York Post reported on January 16, 2011, that Weingarten had received a $194,188 “golden parachute” from the UFT, representing unused vacation days and sick time, which “brought her total 2010 compensation to a whopping $600,000….Not many companies allow employees to cash out unused vacation days; even fewer pay out unused sick time on top of that,” the Post noted, and asked “how UFT rank-and-filers feel about the boodle coming from their dues.” Weingarten, the Post complained, “is essentially gouging her union in much the same way that the union has taken advantage of New York’s fisc over the years.”
No wonder she has such disdain for the New York Post. They’re one of the few outlets to expose her as a fraud.
So what has this hack’s hack been doing while this scandal unfolds? Why, tweeting Media Matters propaganda.

Hilarious how she claims the Post gets things wrong and she’s tweeting Media Matters. You can’t make this stuff up. If her union had the slightest shred of dignity they’d remove her from office. We won’t hold our breath.
