Of Course: Obama Blames Lousy Approval Ratings on Racism

Barack Obama

This lowlife apparently forgot he was elected twice. Was that racist?

President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine’s website today.

“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition.

“Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,” Obama said in his most direct comments on how race has affected his political standing since he’s been in office.

Sure, 99% of blacks voting for him because he’s black, well, that’s not racist. Got it?

“Poll after poll makes it very clear that Obamacare and other job-killing policies are the reason” for the president’s decline in popularity, Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer said in a phone interview today.

Meanwhile, he claims he wouldn’t let his mythical son play football. Which would makes sense if the kid inherited his athletic skills.

Obama offered reflections on a variety of subjects in the New Yorker story, including his view about the dangers of playing professional football, which has been the subject of media scrutiny over players’ head injuries.

“I would not let my son play pro football,” the article quotes Obama, the father of two daughters, as saying. When asked by Remnick how those dangers squared with his enjoyment of the game as a spectator, Obama said professional players are aware of the inherent risk in playing a full-contact sport.

Blame, blame, race card. It couldn’t be because of the “spread the wealth and your pie” caused the largest jobs lost, houses lost, welfare explosion in decades or ever and the destruction of our healthcare system. Ummm OK. Zzzzzzzzz!! SOS!

The only racism left in America is the constant race-hustling of Democrats, keeping 95% of blacks on the plantation and enslaved by the government dole.

If even 20% of black voters turned out for the GOP, Democrats wouldn’t stand a chance in 2016.

Then and only then will Democrats stop taking black voters for granted.

To be fair, he also noted “there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,”

The question is what percentage of his poll numbers are biased by each group (and in what way)? My guess (and this might be my own distaste with the guy showing through) is that the positive boost to his ratings from the second group is a lot greater than the drag on his ratings from the first.

But since people don’t willingly demonstrate their prejudices, that’d be hard to show in a poll.

“I would not let my son play pro football,” Of course, if his mythical son had played high-school and college football well enough to even have a shot at professional football, he would be a) an adult and b) able to make his own decisions. Except that he would be Obama’s son, and raised to believe that he has no choices other than what the state tells him to do.

I love the construct of his argument. “Some dislike me because I’m black.” They’re racist. “Others give me the benefit of the doubt because I’m black.” Not : “Others give me a free pass” or “Others turn a blind eye.” They simply trust him.

    Pathological.

Hey, Obama. It’s not me, it’s you.

Only whites can be racist. It’s racist to suggest otherwise.

I guess Asians. Their success in not being another client of the Democrat plantation also indicates they are very racist. So racist.

The only rational explanation for the occasional setbacks to our wise and multiracial President’s policies are rooted in racism. Were he white, the other 49 percent of America would rally behind him in the name of bipartisanship. Instead, a deep-rooted concept of white privilege keeps upper-class white politicians from helping Barack help the rest of us.

” give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president”

also known as the “soft bigotry of lowered expectations.”

But yeah, those that expect him to actually be competent and honest are the racists…..

The only accomplishment Obama can honestly stand on is the fact that he made Jimmy Carter the US’ second worst President from his standing as number 1. What does Obama attribute the low approval ratings of Carter?

“If you refuse to kiss my butt you’re a racist” … is that what Dear Leader is telling us?

    Pfui.

Mary, you’re either delusional or a die-hard socialist dismayed at how Dear Leader’s efforts to bring your vision of Big Government Utopia to fruition are failing. Or both.

I am a hard-working American Caucasian with most of my family living in the South, and I know absolutely NOBODY who has any issues whatsoever with the President merely because of his race. Your inclination to join the discouraged and desperate Lefty Statists in throwing down the race card is pathetic and intellectually lazy.

Obama’s ratings are in the toilet and dropping fast because he utterly stinks at his job. Period.

President Obama might want to revisit some of his policy decisions over the last two years because apparently they make people racists. Go figure.

  13. Steve S. on 21/21/14 at 12:25 am

It’s about time he pulls the race card. Since his supporters have been pulling it for 5 years now, it’s long past time for some of his trademark ‘leading from behind’.

I was getting worried that he was never going to take the hint.

    Hint to:
    ” Robert on 20/20/14 at 4:46 pm ”

    Mary’s one of us.

She was “just funnin’ ya” .

Go back and read her comment with the understanding that there’s an invisible “/sarc” at the end.
