Obama Video: I Have Stolen Ideas from Jon Gruber, My Dear Friend

Jonathan Gruber? Never heard of the guy.

“You have already drawn some of the brightest minds from academia and policy circles, many of them I have stolen ideas from liberally,” Obama said. “People ranging from Robert Gordon to Austan Goolsbee; Jon Gruber; my dear friend, Jim Wallis here, who can inform what are sometimes dry policy debates with a prophetic voice.”

Don’t worry, media, we’re sure you keep it buried.

We know he’s lying when he says he doesn’t know Gruber, but twisting the quote in your headline doesn’t help our side. Listen to the video: From the voice inflections and gestures, he’s clearly describing Jim Wallace (whoever that is) as a good friend, not Gruber.

I agree with Knoxville, here. The clip does not match the promise of the headline. This kind of sloppy or willfully obtuse transcription is something I expect from Gateway Pundit, not Jammie Wearing Fools.
