Loathsome Opportunist Charlie Crist Claims He Left GOP Because of Racism or Something

No, his former party rejecting him for Marco Rubio had nothing to do with it. It’s because Republicans hate blacks, gays, women and the environment or something. What a pathetic tool this clown is.

During an interview on Fusion’s America with Jorge Ramos, Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist, D, cited racism and other intolerant views as the reason he left the Republican party.

Crist, who is running for his old office against incumbent Governor Rick Scott, R, said he felt uncomfortable being affiliated with GOP ideals, which he said are perceived as “anti-women, anti-minority, anti-women, anti-gay, anti-education, and anti-environment.”

So he lost to a party that instead voted for a Cuban guy, clearly a demonstration of their antipathy toward minorities. Oh, and which party has the only African-American in the Senate? Hint: It’s not the Democrats.

He spoke about racism in the party, calling it “intolerable” and a “big reason” why he left, criticizing Republican’s refusal to work together with President Obama.

“I couldn’t be consistent with myself and my core beliefs, and stay with a party that was so unfriendly toward the African-American president, I’ll just go there,” he said. “I was a Republican and I saw the activists and what they were doing, it was intolerable to me.”

Core beliefs? Does he have any?

Ramos challenged Crist’s motivations for leaving the GOP, accusing him of switching due to his loss to Marco Rubio when he ran for the Senate in the 2010 Republican primary, but Crist said, “No, I left the Republican Party because the leadership went off the cliff.”

I am liberated as a Democrat, my true soul is able to be seen, and I couldn’t be happier about it,” he added.

He’s now liberated belonging to a party that doesn’t believe in individual freedom. Got it.

    Quote From Mr. Christie:

“Just tell me exactly what I have to say, and which party I should jump to THIS time……and I’m right on board! Because personal ethics mean EVERYTHING to me.”

Just a small correction: There are two African-Americans in the Senate, one R and one D (Sens. Tim Scott and Cory Booker).

He’s right, at least in my case. I hate Oompa Loompas: they’re lying, opportunistic sacks of s—, every single one.

Crist has always been a political opportunist. It’s ALL about the political considerations. Obviously he believed that Dems in Florida would carry him to the Senate. Now he believes that, as a Dem, he can reprise his role as Governor. He sucked as Governor. He became a panderer. And that’s what he will do again.
