Obviously the loathsome Harry Reid knows the media will ignore this outrageous attack on private citizens since, for the most part, they’re helping lead the vicious anti-Koch brothers crusade, which has become the latest obsession on the left. Tuesday he put this nonsense on Twitter:
The Koch bros made over $18 billion last year, but middle-class families have watched their incomes stagnate for decades. #RaiseTheWage
— Senator Harry Reid (@SenatorReid) February 18, 2014
It’s bad enough he singles out the men who are merely 59th on the list of political contributors considering a certain liberal billionaire plans on spending $100 million leading up to the 2014 midterms. Making the attack even more ludicrous is the fact Reid plans on attending a fundraiser at his home tonight. The hypocrisy meter just shattered.
On Wednesday, Steyer’s home will be the site of a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser, with scheduled attendees including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, one of the Hill’s most outspoken climate advocates.
Steyer’s ambitious $100 million plan would rocket him into the big leagues. As the Times put it, the move would make NextGen “among the largest outside groups in the country, similar in scale to the conservative political network overseen by Charles and David Koch.”
Even in this story they can’t help but mention the Koch brothers. Ridiculous.
