Business as usual in Barack Obama’s home town this weekend.
At least 19 people were shot in Chicago in a 12-hour span starting early Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
Wait, two shot by police? When do the protest marches start?
Police believe three people were wounded in a shooting or multiple shootings about 9 p.m. near the intersection of East 80th Street and South Ingleside Avenue, according to Pat Camden, a police union spokesman. A fourth person, believed to have shot at least one of the three, was fatally shot by a police officer moments afterward when he turned toward police with a gun in his hand, Camden said.
Details about the other three people shot were not immediately released. One of the three was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Camden said.
Non-stop mayhem and violence, but not a peep from the racial arsonists. Curious, isn’t it?
