Boots on the Ground: Obama Sacrifices 3,000 Troops to Fight a Virus

Forget about having a plan to fight ISIS. Obama’s more interested in sending American troops to Africa because apparently he believes they’re better served being at risk to Ebola.

Administration officials said Monday that the new initiatives aim to:

— Train as many as 500 health care workers a week.

— Erect 17 heath care facilities in the region of 100 beds each.

— Set up a joint command headquartered in Monrovia, Liberia, to coordinate between U.S. and international relief efforts.

— Provide home health care kits to hundreds of thousands of households, including 50,000 that the U.S. Agency for International Development will deliver to Liberia this week.

— Carry out a home- and community-based campaign to train local populations on how to handle exposed patients.

Our military as social workers. Awesome. Of course when dead American troops return home from community organizing in body bags the media won’t even report it.

Here’s some comforting news:

If you think this is completely insane, you’re not alone.

So don’t complain or you’re racist.

I don’t understand this move at all. Send supplies and funds but there is no need for troops on the ground. The risk does not outweigh the reward.

First, it is too bad that Obama didn’t dispatch his normal 50+ lawyers to the Ebola threat.

Second, Is it only me that thinks this is just a way to assure that Ebola makes it to our shores and maybe postpones 14 or 16 elections?
