Annoying Couple Celebrate Annoying Director’s Annoying Film

It’s all about the Obamas, don’t ever forget.  We’re wondering why Spike Lee doesn’t re-cut this amateur film and splice these two into it.

It’s been 25 years since Spike Lee released his iconic film Do The Right Thing and around 25 years since President Obama and his wife Michelle Obama went to see that same film on their first date.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Do the Right Thing, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art held a screening, a reception, and a Q &A with Spike Lee, and a special surprise from The White House, reports Jezebel.

Before the film began, Lee announced that he had a treat for the audience–a touching message from the President of the United States and the First Lady.

If only this clown actually did the right thing in real life.

‘Do the Right Thing was actually the first movie we saw together, on our first official date’, said Michelle Obama.

The President then spoke about how he picked a movie by a director that not many people knew about yet but that it was supposed to be a great film.

It’s not much more than high school level film-making. Not at all a surprise these two would celebrate a punk racist like Lee.

I thought the porn film “Do the White Thing” had much more social and societal relevance.

I don’t believe this, and there is no way to disprove it. Or maybe it is plausible, but if I was asking any woman out on a first date, it would not be to do the right thing, or schindlers list, or saving private ryan, or crash or ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FUN MOVIE – who on earth, on a first date, goes to some societal metaphor self important deep whatever nonsense movie? only assholes

I watched “Do The Right Thing” a couple months ago, for the first time in 20+ years. It’s still as racist now as it was back then. Not surprising that Race-Baiter in Chief took Mooch to see it on their first date. Any confirmation that he gave her a handjob during the riot scene?

They saw it on their “official first date”. WTF is an official first date, and what did they do on their “unofficial first date”?

Actually quite a few people knew about the film at the time. It was kind of a liberal sensation.

But of course we have to let Spike be a victim, with the First Couple rescuing the poor dear.

    So of course, they’re lying.

It wasn’t anything near their first “official date”, nor the first movie they saw together. You can tell, because they’re saying it’s so. Therefore it’s not so.

But they need to acknowledge the fool and at the same time inject themselves into the lives of their drooling base (who no doubt is recognizing and celebrating the anniversary of this waste of film emulsion) yet again.

Does it seem like they’ve been infesting the White House forever, or what?

We used to call these types “poseurs.” (That’s “posers” in Frogtalk)

I can well believe that he took “the beard” on an official date to a pretentious, racist, leftwing nutter movie.

I can just as easily believe that they made this up to look “hip,” because they lie as easily as they breathe.

I found DTRT tragic and not entertaining. More of a rant fest of the youngsters just rebelling against things built by others and having not one iota of consideration as to why such things were built nor the benefits such things provided the community. So the rebels burned it all down. Detroit, Flint, Pontiac MI. All remnants of scenes that could have come from that depressing movie. If that was the Obama’s “First Date” movie. It’s not wonder the country’s reeling.
