Virginia Man Arrested After Following Biden’s Advice

Posted by on Mar 01, 2013 at 7:58 am

We recommend this man call the idiot Biden as a defense witness.

Vice President Joe Biden told Field & Stream magazine in an interview published Monday, “[if] you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.”

Coincidentally, a 22-year-old man in Virginia Beach, Va., was charged Monday with reckless handling of a firearm after doing just that a couple days earlier.

Local TV station WAVY 10 reports that the man observed two masked men leaning into his bedroom window. The men allegedly had weapons and told him to close his bedroom door. He stepped outside of his bedroom and did as instructed, then fired his shotgun through the closed door and then several more times at the window.

According to the news report there were no injuries and the suspects were not apprehended by police.

Biden’s comments to Field & Stream came as he summarized a hypothetical question in which someone from California pondered “when the end days come” or if there’s an earthquake.

Earlier this month, Biden told an interviewer that he had advised his wife, Jill, “if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.”

According to Delaware attorneys contacted by U.S. News, in Biden’s home state it is only legal to use deadly force if there is reason to fear imminent loss of life. Shooting a gun in the air could result in felony reckless endangering and aggravated menacing charges, in addition to misdemeanor charges, the lawyers said.

When they’re in court we hope  the defense attorney plays this on a loop. Click the image.

Everything this moron tells you will get you arrested.

It gets even better folks. Some moron was arrested in Delaware for blazing away with a shotgun AND a handgun from his backyard. His house is near I-95. Guess who will be prosecuting this genius? my son, the AG of Delaware, Beau (that’s his real name) Biden.

Shooting through a door is a highly questionable tactic – BUUUTT – this may be the rare case where it was appropriate. If the account is correct, the homeowner saw armed intruders and he knew they were the only ones in the bedroom. I doubt I’ve had done this but it may yet pass muster.
. People under attack have fired through doors, wounded or killed intruders, and have been justified by inquests and courts. If I’ve locked a door, announced I’m armed, and the intruder attempts to break the door, I might fire through it.
Biden’s advice was based on a different situation, shooting through the door without really knowing what’s on the other side. That’s rarely going to be justifiable.

This guy shot at armed intruders in HIS HOUSE, and he is being charged with a crime?? There must be something missing here.

Wasn’t he just following an executive order that Biden made. Why is he being arrested.

There is no “reckless handling of a firearm” law. I think they may be charging him for the shots going out the window and across the street.

Ԥ 18.2-286. Shooting in or across road or in street.

If any person discharges a firearm, crossbow or bow and arrow in or across any road, or within the right-of-way thereof, or in a street of any city or town, he shall, for each offense, be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.’ Max $250 fine.

I’m just wondering where Slo’ Joe was when Hillary stepped off the plane into “sniper” fire….was Joe nearby giving a firearms training lesson?

It just goes to show you how far left the country has become, and its only going to get worse. i beleave that all guns will be banned before obama leaves office, thats one of his goals. this country is in deep trouble.

Maybe Joe meant you were supposed to fire the gun through his door?!? Give us time, Joe, we’ll ge it right. You’re just a lot smarter than we are!

    I think the problem is:
According to the story, the intruders were leaning into the window, not in the home. As soon as he left the bedroom(and obtained the shotgun), the imminent threat ended. Had they come thru the bedroom door into the home, he could have dropped them both.
The imminent threat itself shifts with the conditions on the ground……odd, but the Law is an ass.

The perptatrators weren’t present when police arrived. His bedroom was shot-up by his own admission. An arrest is justified until the police can checkout the story. I don’t like silly gun laws, but I also don’t want to see police take somebody’s word at face value & say, “Oh, okay!” and leave without investigating.

@#15, JimMe: What, you think an appropriate investigation into the facts is warranted before we decide if this person did something wrong? What an attitude!
