The State of Today’s Media: ‘Ted Cruz Was a Smelly, Terrible Roommate’

Posted by on Oct 14, 2013 at 9:12 am

Five years into Obama’s presidency and we still don’t know a damn thing about what he did in college. But Ted Cruz? Now we know he supposedly smelled and liked to hit his snooze button. Yes, really.

Proud, pretentious American destroyer Ted Cruz has always been a bit difficult. Since elbowing his way into the national consciousness, the Texas Republican has been outed as a hater of “minor Ivies” like Penn and Brown, and is said to have come to Princeton as a 17-year-old with a book titled Was Karl Marx a Satanist? “I would end up fielding the [girls’] complaints: ‘Could you please keep your roommate out of our hallway?'” his undergrad roommate at Princeton Craig Mazin told the Daily Beast over the summer. (“I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone,” Mazin added. “I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”)

Today, Mazin — who just so happens to be the screenwriter behind Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, and The Hangover III — took to Twitter to share more stories about his fateful time in a crappy room with Cruz. It’s about what you’d expect, but funnier.

So a guy who admits to being the screenwriter behind such blockbusters as Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, and The Hangover III  didn’t like Ted Cruz, and this is news?

This is beyond pathetic.

We’re sure Cruz thought he was a great roommate. Funny how nobody asks him about this loser Mazin.

Wish the mainstream media had put half the effort into looking into President Obama’s past that they are doing now with Ted Cruz’ past. Wonder how differently things would have played out.

I’m sure O’s college roommates could comment on the lingering smell of weed in O’s room.

Cruz is Hispanic, yet here’s a leftist calling a Hispanic smelly. Where’s the race-anger over this insult? Oh, right…Cruz is Conservative, so never mind.

Classic, rolling out some web covered Hollywooder from the closet to dump on a Republican so their idiot base of swooning MP3 earphoned, sexting, clueless base can drink from the Kool-Aid fountain of ignorance. But, the media wouldn’t dare touch the real facts that BO smoked pot and used cocaine!! These two items dull the brain one heck of a lot more than a “smelly Hispanic.”

Smoked pot, used cocaine, and ate at least one dog.

But there was this one rock in Texas, see?

And is it just me, or do the dates appear to read “14/14/13”? I thought there were only 12 months?

So, first they dig up a former attorney who was disbarred in California for misconduct surround his multiple DUIs to claim that Cruz was elitist, and now they have a Hollywood screenwriter of oh-so-highbrow “comedies” to tell us that he thought Cruz smelled and to brag about how he vandalized Cruz’s property?

Considering how utterly repugnant ‘Hangover III’ was and the Scary Movie series being very low-brow attempts to ape the success of ‘Airplane,’ I’m not inclined t take this guy very seriously. That those movies were the best he could do with that level of education is somewhat sad.

But he probably got paid very well and that is what really matters in Hollywood.
