She’ll dry up a lot faster than these legally-protected weapons. Not that it’ll be noted by anyone in the media, but this woman has been in the Senate for what, 30 years or so? Isn’t having such a dog-and-pony show an admission you haven’t done your job all these years? It takes an isolated incident far removed from your state to spur you to action?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) laid out the conditions of her proposed assault weapon ban Thursday, saying it would prohibit 158 specifically named military-style firearms.

“The purpose is to dry up the supply of these weapons over time,” Feinstein said. “Therefore, there is no sunset on this bill.”

Feinstein said the bill prohibits the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices that can accept more than ten rounds, but said it would not affect hunting or sporting firearms.

If only we could get some honest reporting about what is and is not a so-called assault weapon. With First Amendment privileges comes responsibility, lamestream media.

Meanwhile, didn’t the left used to rail against invoking religion in the public sphere?
