He’s probably running low on cash due to excessive Botox bills.

Sued for non-payment by a group of coaches, the owner of Sacramento’s moribund minor league football team vowed today to make good on the debt.

Paul Pelosi, majority owner of the Sacramento Mountain Lions and husband of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, also told The Bee that he hopes the team and the league can resume operations next spring.

Pelosi acknowledged that his coaches are still owed pay after the Mountain Lions and the entire United Football League suspended operations during mid-season last fall.

“I’m committed to pay them and they will be paid,” Pelosi said. He added that the team’s players have been paid.
