It’s taken them long enough to lay a glove on the failed president and now they actually have a guy who can plausibly play Obama. But the highlight of this spot from Saturday Night Live is Kenan Thompson playing the hallucinating sign language guy.

That “sign language guy” just won’t go away.

The South African deaf interpreter who signed what amounted to gibberish during Nelson Mandela’s memorial service last week was spoofed in the opening skit on the latest Saturday Nigh Live, by actors portraying both him and President Obama.

Ersatz signer Thamsanqa Jantjie “clearly had no idea what he was doing,” Obama, played by cast member Jay Pharaoh, said in the spoof presidential address — only to be joined at the podium moments later by a grinning and gesticulating Kenan Thompson.

“We have our best people working on it,” “Obama” insisted of the Obamacare website woes, as Thompson used both hands to trace the silhouette of a curvaceous woman and then flashed two thumbs up.

Pharaoh soon summoned a pair of fake Secret Service agents to drag the fake signer away.

To what “fiasco” are you referring?

Shaking hands with heads of state at a memorial ceremony for an international leader who promoted cooperation and reconciliation among people with ideological differences? Shocking!

Participating in the celebration of Mandela’s life by leaning into a candid digital photo, joining another dignitary who was taking a “selfie”? Outrageous!

Giving a speech while a mentally disturbed man who was faking sign language to the audience — an individual who was recruited by the organizers of the event, not Obama? Unbelievable!

What’s next? Criticizing the POTUS for even attending the event for a man who Dick Cheney and numerous right wing pundits — forever yearning to be on the wrong side of history – – dismissed as a terrorist?

wow labman, you’ve got some pretty strong ideology going on there!

I hope the dems pay you for your unwavering loyalty, because it would be really, really sad to know that you truly think what you said was true.

Pat, Labman is a comedian -ask any Cuban in exile, especially those that have or have had family members rotting in Cuban prisons, how funny they found his comment about Obama shaking hands with an “international leader who promoted cooperation and reconciliation among people with ideological differences” by sending them to prison. Everyone knows that torture and prison equals “cooperation and reconciliation…” LMAO Labman is hilarious!

Nelson Mandela was certainly right to oppose the apartheid regime which oppressed the blacks of South Africa. But he was no saint. He was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) which was and still is a communist/terrorist organization responsible for many atrocities. His wife Minnie Mandela was fond of having their backers hang auto tires around the necks of perceived enemies, and set them on fire. South Africa today has some major problems, not the least of which is its murder rate, which probably exceeds those of Detroit and Mexico.
