Smarter, More Efficient Government! ‘Obamacare’ Marketing Campaign To Cost Nearly $700 Million

As this idiot traipses around the country calling for yet more spending on his failed programs we now discover he’s spending a mind-numbing $700 million to promote another government boondoggle nobody wants.

The campaign won’t come cheap: The total amount to be spent nationally on publicity, marketing and advertising will be at least $684 million, according to data compiled The Associated Press from federal and state sources.

About 16 percent of Americans are uninsured, but despite years of political debate and media attention, more than three-quarters of them still know little about the law known as “Obamacare,” according to recent surveys.

“It’s not sugar cereal, beer and detergent,” said Brooke Foley, chief executive officer of the Chicago-based Jayne Agency, one of the advertising firms crafting messages to reach the uninsured.

The Obama administration and many states are launching campaigns this summer to get the word out before enrollment for new benefits begins in October.

The targets are mostly the working poor, young people who are disengaged, or those who gave up their insurance because of the cost. Three-quarters are white. Eighty-six percent have a high school education or less. Together they make up a blind spot in the nation’s health care system.

Of course since any cost estimate is always on the low side, let’s just round it up and predict he’ll spend a billion dollars in a futile effort to get his low-information voters on board.

Meanwhile, opposition to ObamaCare grows by the day.

Voters think ObamaCare is going to hurt their wallet and over half want the law repealed, according to a new Fox News national poll.

By a large 47-11 percent margin, voters expect the 2010 health care law will cost them rather than save them money in the coming year.  Another 34 percent think the law won’t change their family’s health care costs.

Those negative expectations come at a time when a majority of the public remains unhappy with the way thing are going in the country (63 percent dissatisfied), and over half say they haven’t seen any signs the economy has started to turn the corner (57 percent).

Republicans are three times as likely as Democrats to think ObamaCare will cost them money over the next year (70 percent vs. 23 percent).  One Democrat in five expects the law will result in savings for their family (21 percent).

So the same morons who support this are so clueless that we have to spend at least $700 million informing them about it. Wonderful.

I think we all know that it will top out over a billion dollars and that’s a pretty good ROI for the entertainment investing in Barky’s campaign.

Who are the 11% that actually believe Obameecare will SAVE them money next year, instead of doubling or tripling their health care costs and cutting the number of doctors in the country IN HALF by 2020? Six month waiting lists for checkups and basic appointments? The country will riot before then.

Of course, that’s the point. Obamee’s driving home a Cloward-Piven disruption to break the American nation he despises.

You will either take to the streets, or end up living on them under a destroyed America. Your choice. What will it take to make you and your family rise up against this immoral government?
