Sequester Blowback: Obama Plummets to 43% in Reuters/Ipsos Poll

We cannot locate the sample for this but typically these polls greatly oversample Democrats, so this approval number is likely inflated. According to their numbers the fear-mongering Obama has taken his hardest hit in the past week, down at least seven points.

Obviously it’s the fault of the Republicans for not playing nice or something.

Less than two months into his second term, President Barack Obama’s approval rating has dropped and Americans blame him and his fellow Democrats almost as much as his Republican opponents for a fiscal mess.

A Reuters/Ipsos online poll released on Wednesday showed 43 percent of people approve of Obama’s handling of his job, down 7 percentage points from February 19.

Most of that steep drop came in the week to February 26 when it was becoming clear that Washington was going to be unable to put aside partisan differences and agree to halt automatic budget cuts which started last Friday.

Confounding the White House’s efforts to blame Republicans for the cuts, most respondents in the online survey hold both Democrats and Republicans responsible.

Obama shot out of the gate in January at the start of his second four years in the White House, promising gun control and immigration legislation as well as efforts to tackle climate change and expand gay rights.

Gun control, immigration, so-called climate change and gay rights do nothing to help our economy, which is why he’s using those as a distraction from his endless economic failures. For all the squabbling over piddling cuts in future spending, nobody seems to ask why his trillion-dollar sequester has shown zero results. Chronically high unemployment, surging  gas prices and low consumer confidence are far more important than trying to disarm the public and foisting some dubious “climate change” scam on the public. But go ahead and keep pursuing those non-issues, then watch yourself become a lame duck in rapid fashion.

his trillion-dollar sequester has shown zero results

I think you mean “stimulus,” here, right?

After the 2012 election, I will never again believe in “Democratic oversampling.” If they are oversampling Democrats, then they are undersampling retards. Given the great degree of overlap between thsese two groups, I really don’t see how that is possible.

Comrades that almost 0% growth in gdp is on fire! These are economic boom times and centralized government run economies that produce nothing are proven to be so successful. (not really)
