President Shutdown’s Approval Plummets to 37%

Sure, he’s in a position to make demands.

Most Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling his job, the poll suggests, with 53 percent unhappy with his performance and 37 percent approving of it. Congress is scraping rock bottom, with a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent.

Indeed, anyone making headlines in the dispute has earned poor marks for his or her trouble, whether it’s Democrat Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, or Republican John Boehner, the House speaker, both with a favorability rating of 18 percent.

And much of the country draws a blank on Republican Ted Cruz of Texas despite his 21-hour Senate speech before the shutdown. Only half in the poll were familiar enough with him to register an opinion. Among those who did, 32 percent viewed him unfavorably, 16 percent favorably.

Hard to believe Cruz would have a negative rating considering he’s bashed 24/7 by the media. Considering this is an AP poll, we confident it was a skewed sample leaning heavily Demcorat. In other words, Obama’s numbers are probably inflated.

From 1940 through his death in 1945 Franklin Roosevelt was in extremely poor health. Members of the media knew it, but kept that information from the American people. The media covered for the Democratic Party even back then.

The press knew Kennedy was a womanizing adulterer, too (as are all Kennedy’s apparently) and covered for him, even before he was elected president. What followed — assassination, Vietnam Nam, Johnson, Great Society, is on them.

Obama’s approval rating is below 40. Remember how lefties were screaming about GWB needing the heave-ho when his approval rating dipped below 40?

Congressional approval numbers mean nothing as a whole. It breaks down to individual districts in the House, and the reasonings behind their low numbers are manifold. Presidential approval numbers say much more in that the focus is more narrow. Our NPD President is not handling rejection well, witness the pettiness on display in his press conference. The msm has to prop him up throughout, and know that be cannot handle hard questions, so dare not ask and expose him more. Conservatives need to hold the line. A few weeks of shutdown theater is worth enduring, balanced against a bleak totalitarian future. Ted Cruz actually knows the Constitution as opposed to our “constitutional scholar” president. Cruz has shown the spineless rinos that picking the ground to surrender on will not save us. Like Grant he is grabbing them by the belt and bringing the fight to them. The question for Boehner is does he have any cojones? Putin has just shown the world Barry’s lack of them.
