We hope she’s delusional enough to keep believing this. The shitstorm that will befall Democrats next November due to ObamaCare will be all the more delicious.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday took issue with a reporter’s suggestion that House Democrats might have lost their House majority — and Pelosi, by extension, lost her speakership — in the 2010 election because of their votes for President Obama’s health-care law.
Pelosi instead pointed to another vote: the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), also known as the bailout.
“I don’t even buy into the idea that we lost the election because of health care. One of the most damaging votes that our members had to take was the TARP,” Pelosi said at a news briefing. “The Democrats were the one who saved the day with that vote, and people never really got over that vote.”
Clearly Pelosi has a short memory, or none at all. Peruse this analysis for reasons why the Democrats lost by historic proportions, and you won’t see TARP mentioned. At all. Not only was ObamaCare a factor, but his moribund economy and the failed stimulus were also huge negatives.
Meanwhile, Pelosi emerged today from the Democrats-only emergency meeting on ObamaCare to let the peasants know there won’t be any ObamaCare delay.
The Obama administration should focus on fixing problems with the launch of government-run online health care insurance exchanges instead of delaying an enrollment deadline for the program, U.S. House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said on Wednesday.
“I think we should be able to go forward. I’m more optimistic than that. I have faith in technology and while there are glitches, there are solutions as well,” Pelosi, a California congresswoman, told reporters.
Forward! She has faith!
Update: Her stupidity continues to unfold today.
