Obnoxious Jane Fonda Tells Vets to ‘Get a Life’

She apparently still cannot get past the fact she’s still detested after all these years. And rightly so. Apparently being a Communist sympathizer is supposed to shield her from criticism but she just can’t handle the fact people still enjoy freedom of speech. If she had the slightest bit of common sense she’s shut the fuck up.

Jane Fonda has told veterans threatening to boycott her new movie, where she plays former First Lady Nancy Reagan, to ‘get a life’.

The 75-year-old actress will star in Lee Daniels’ forthcoming film, The Butler, but her casting has created a backlash from veterans because of her stance on the Vietnam War.

They have been angered by Fonda’s inclusion in the film because of her involvement in the protest against the war, where she called Americans ‘war criminals’.

A movement to boycott the film, which will be shown in U.S. cinemas this October, is gaining momentum.

Larry Reyes, a Navy veteran, has started a Facebook campaign called ‘Boycott Hanoi Jane Playing Nancy Reagan’ and described her casting as a ‘slap in the face’.

But Fonda, a seven-time Oscar nominee, showed no signs of backing down and told her critics to ‘get a life.’

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, she said: ‘If it creates hoopla, it will cause more people to see the movie… I figured it would tweak the right. Who cares?’

If she actually believes this will help the movie at the box office she’s sadly mistaken. This will just further infuriate those she thinks she’s tweaking. You can pretty much guarantee this movie will be a bomb, primarily because of her.

Isn’t it fun how boycotts are wonderful, noble things….until a leftist is the target? Suddenly, the tune changes to get a life (translation: learn your place).

Who cares? The movie is about a butler in the white house and his service through several presidents. I don’t even have to see it — the butler (Forest Whitaker) will be the only decent, intelligent person through a succession of evil, racist white men. Yawn.

    Hey, Jane! Lance Sijan called…

    Oh, wait. He didn’t.

‘Cause your buddies in Hanoi beat him to death.

So much for ‘get a life.’

I have worked as a regional musician on the eastern seaboard/midwest for nearly 40 years. In that time I have gigged at hundreds of legions and VFW posts. To this day, the mens’ rooms of most of them have pictures of Jane Fonda in her striped workout suit with her feet in the air pasted in the urinals. The vets will never forget and never forgive Jane Fonda. Regardless of her film career, her legacy will always be Hanoi Jane owing to that trip she made during the war to North Vietnam and the photos taken there. She holds a permanent place of infamy in the minds of American servicemen.

I understand the veterans being angry, but it’s time to move on. She made a mistake and apologized for it.
