Obama’s IRS Scandal Sure Looks to Run a Lot Deeper Than Reported

Phony scandal, huh?

We now know that IRS honchos shared information about conservative groups with other agencies, using the vast data in the IRS databanks to help other federal officials make cases against conservatives. Now we need to know how much, how often and what kind.

Email exchanges between Lois Lerner, the Democrat at the center of the probe into abuses at the IRS,  and a lawyer at the Federal Elections Commission show Lerner and the lawyer teaming up to try to block a conservative group from winning a case before the commission.

The pixel trail obtained by the House Ways and Means Committee leaves a strong suggestion that Lerner passed confidential information to the lawyer in a bid to squeeze a Minnesota conservative group under fire from state Democrats. The way it’s supposed to work is that the commission doesn’t investigate until its members find probable cause, but here we have a still-unnamed attorney doing a stealth investigation with Lerner’s help in an apparent bid to sway commissioners ahead of their vote.

The chances for collusion are helped by the fact that prior to coming to the IRS, Lerner was the longtime head of the elections board’s enforcement office. That’s where she first earned the ire of conservatives for targeting religious groups, especially the demand from her office to know about the content of prayers tendered for the sake of Lt. Col. Oliver North.

Lerner, therefore, would have had plenty of knowledge about how to game the system at the commission to make sure a complaint turned into a case – precisely what her successors at the FEC would need to drop the hammer on a conservative group. And given the warren of unlisted government email addresses and the prevalent use of personal accounts for public business, it’s hard now to know just what passed between Lerner and the FEC.

No wonder this shrew took the Fifth.  Oh, but this is Faux News, enemy of the state, so it’s just phony or something. Meanwhile, the most transparent administration ever has handed over a vast trove of IRS documents requested. No, not really.

Check out Greta last night. Rep. Jim Jordan showed her stacks of the pages that have been provided. The redactions weren’t just a few blackouts here and there. Whole pages were blacked out. Hundreds of them that were shown on air.

64 mi..ion pages of documents? Are you kidding? This is the paperwork the IRS generated related to less than 200 organizations reviewed? That’s over 300,000 pages per organization. Yeah, their budget needs to be cut even more…

To bad we don’t have all the emails sent from/to addresses in the U.S. over the last 10 years or so stored somewhere . . . . . oh wait (slaps forehead) – we do! Get the NSA director on the phone!

Funny that for a suposedly phony scandal, this IRS thing seems to keep getting deeper, higher, and more widespread. No wonder the dems are in full panic mode to stop the investigation, so panicky that they have been attacking the non-partisan IG.

Should post an update with photos of the redacted material sent to congress, everything is blacked out.

With this latest revelation that the election board is probably involved this becomes more serious than just attempts at harassing conservative organizations. Collusion between the IRS and FEC smacks of criminal activity and Lerner is in the middle. All members of both organizations, if found guilty, belong in jail for a long time. There is also a suggestion that the WH was involved.

The Administration’s media is still trying its best to limit its coverage of the IRS scandals, is omitting key facts learned in the testimonies before Congress, and covering the story with its usual Left slant. The media will do anything to make Obama look good.
