The hapless Barack Obama actually believes the United States military is his and his alone. Let him tell you as much, just today, around the 1:20 mark of this clip.
Anyone ever recall a Republican president calling our armed forces my military? No, neither did we. In reality, “his” military wants no part of this Syrian debacle.
They are embarrassed to be associated with the amateurism of the Obama administration’s attempts to craft a plan that makes strategic sense. None of the White House staff has any experience in war or understands it. So far, at least, this path to war violates every principle of war, including the element of surprise, achieving mass and having a clearly defined and obtainable objective.
You know who else apparently is embarrassed? Obama’s real army, his gang of punks from Organizing for Obama, er, Action, his permanent campaign arm that runs his Twitter feed. This is all we’ve see from them the past 24 hours:
How budget gridlock in Congress could jeopardize the fight against climate change: http://t.co/YITQcBWMZK

Climate change? Oof. Do these tools even know Obama’s busy trying to goad Republicans into going along with his Syria adventure? Apparently not if taking a cheap-shot at them over so-called climate change is their priority today. With them it’s one hand washes the other hand while both hands scratch their ass.
But curiously, OFA wants no part of his Syria mess.
In recent months, Organizing for Action – the non-profit group that grew out of Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign – aggressively defended the president’s healthcare overhaul, his call for new immigration policies and his unsuccessful push for new gun-control laws.
But in the debate over whether to intervene in Syria – which has given many congressional Democrats the uncomfortable choice of supporting a military strike they don’t want or rejecting a plea for action from the Democratic president – OFA has remained on the sidelines.
That’s by design, OFA executive director Jon Carson said on Thursday, adding that the group does not intend to send supportive emails or lobby on the issue.
“OFA supports President Obama and the agenda that Americans voted for on November 6, but we don’t always actively organize around every issue, and the debate in Congress over the Syria vote is not one that OFA is planning on organizing around,” Carson said.
Yeah, sure. These clowns harangue people about every issue under the sun — most of them trivial — yet now they’re not involved in a debate that could render Obama’s second term crippled? It tells us Obama and his minions, his army, came to this point in time totally unprepared for the possible blowback from the American public. Team Obama just 10 days ago was triumphantly boasting that by last Thursday the shot across the bow would have been fired and by now it would be a distant memory as Obama moves forward with his laser-focused agenda on, um, climate change. Or wait, maybe it was more gay talk. Or perhaps some new EPA regulations to battle, um, climate change. Or legalizing millions of illegals. Or unveiling new nutritional standards, or … anything other than his moribund economy, endless scandals or the trainwreck known as ObamaCare.
