Obama Shutdown: Man Fined for Jogging in National Park

So much for that bogus “Let’s Move” campaign. Now if you dare to move in a national park, thanks to President Shutdown you’ll be fined. Frankly, we’re surprised the man wasn’t hauled away by the Obama stormtroopers and held without bail.

This is just absurd.

A marathoner says he was fined $100 for running in Valley Forge National Historical Park during the government shutdown.

John Bell, 56, said he parked his car on Sunday in a remote parking lot, not one blocked by a barrier. Bell, of Chadds Ford, said two rangers were waiting with their car lights flashing when he returned.

Bell said he plans to fight the ticket in federal court. He said he saw many other runners and bikers in the park.

Maine’s Acadia National Park had trouble keeping visitors out during the shutdown and was issuing fines to campers, bikers and hikers. On Saturday, 16 hikers hopped a gate to gain entry to Utah’s closed Zion National Park to protest the shutdown.

Remember when the left was all about civil disobedience to get their way? Good times. Now you get fined for jogging. Thanks, Obama! How sick has it become? Last week elderly World War II vets were threatened with arrest for having the temerity to visit an open air memorial. Today Democrats will gather in the same area to celebrate illegal aliens. It’s just sick.

Don’t the people own the national parks? If so, then how can you fine a person for being on “your land”?

People have long memories over stuff like this so lets just see how many D party clowns go down to defeat in Nov 2014. I expect the carnage to be EPIC.

Makes me wonder what those park police will stop at. I guess they are only following orders.

Saw a couple of shots of the Barrycades and the Spitecones arrayed around the entrance to Mount Rushmore.

    With thanks to Mark Steyn,
Schnell! Singen lauter, gemeine Verbrecher! “Dieses Land ist unser Land, es ist nicht ihr Land! Vom Stadtzentrum DC an den Lake Mead Küstenlinie aus der Arktis Zuflucht zu den Golfstrom Wasser und diesem Land geschlossen wird dir und deinen lieben!”

It’s beginning to feel like Egypt here.

Once he’s broken the ice, the tyranny will only get worse. Just wait till a tea partier needs surgery.

    Vietnam – WW2

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?!?!?! To quote our former Sec of State.

You’re still arresting Senior Citizen veterans.

This is embarassing – The world made fun of us before with Putin slapping around BO like a 2 dollar ho.
I can hardly imagine whats being mentioned now.
