Obama Phones Beleaguered Buddy Morsi, Urges Him to Respond to Concerns of Protesters

We assume by responding to the protesters he means start bugging their phones, sic the Egyptian equivalent of the IRS on them and start talking about climate change or something. Anything to distract the rubes.

President Obama on Tuesday called Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, urging him to be “responsive” to anti-government protesters, amid growing political unrest and threats from Egypt’s military to assume power.

“The President told President Morsy that the United States is committed to the democratic process in Egypt and does not support any single party or group,” said the White House in a statement about the call.

“He stressed that democracy is about more than elections; it is also about ensuring that the voices of all Egyptians are heard and represented by their government, including the many Egyptians demonstrating throughout the country.”

Funny, but in his time in the White House Obama has never been concerned with the voices of all Americans. In fact he repeatedly has gone out of his way to silence opposition. So, as usual, his words are meaningless. As to the concerns of the Egyptian people, it’s quite obvious Obama’s not paying any attention, nor is the American media.

Morsi:The strangest thing happened. Remember those mobs you and I helped incite?

dear leader: How could I forget? It’s what I do.

Morsi: weeeeell, their aim appaently sucks. I feel like Dr. Frankenstein without a stunt double.

dear leader: Talk about gays. Marriage, gay politicians, gay adoptions, gay programs, gay breakfast cereal. It works wonders for me.

Morsi: Yeah….Like it worked in Senegal!?!

dear leader: have I ever steered anyone wrong before?

Morsi: wait one…there’s something at the door..nooo, they are coming in carrying pieces of the door. Gotta go.
