Obama Orders Man Who OK’d James Rosen Justice Department Review To Investigate What Happened

We have complete faith everything is on the up and up.
President Obama, responding to mounting criticism of his Justice Department’s seizure of reporter records, said for the first time Thursday that the administration would be reviewing its guidelines in response to the controversy. Obama said he’s “troubled” by the developments and that journalists should not be “at legal risk” for doing their jobs.
He’s troubled. Last week he was outraged. Next week he’ll be mildly perturbed.

Obama, in a Washington address, said Attorney General Eric Holder has agreed to review the department’s “guidelines governing investigations that involve reporters” and report back by July 12. He said Holder, who “shares” his concerns, will convene a group of media organizations to hear their concerns.

This should be a fair and balanced inquiry.

Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a “possible co-conspirator” in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails, a law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday.
The disclosure of the attorney general’s role came as President Barack Obama, in a major speech on his counterterrorism policy, said Holder had agreed to review Justice Department guidelines governing investigations that involve journalists.
There are rumblings in a grave in Yorba Linda. Someone wants to roll over.

obama said eric holder shares his concerns about freedom of the press and that next week holder will have a meeting with media groups to hear what they have to say.

Wow. obama’s listening. So, all is well, all you uppity subjects please stop worrying and stop digging and stop asking embarrassing questions.

obama must really believe the malarkey he says. I don’t give a rat’s ass what obama says. He and holder are the problem.

By “freedom of press” he means “freedom from press”.

How many times has Obama called out Fox News? It is exactly the same situation as the IRS.

The idiocy involved in Holder investigating himself is beyond satire and comedy.

Fox News and James Rosen likely committed treason. The Fox case involved a report by Rosen in June 2009 that American intelligence officials had issued warnings that, should the United Nations adopt sanctions that were under consideration, North Korea would begin conducting new nuclear tests. According to the F.B.I. affidavit in the case, the information was top secret and was contained in an intelligence document disseminated to a small number of government officials that same morning. The report was marked top secret.

Larry: A peasant likely leaked something the dear leader didn’t want leaked.

1.This administration leaks like a sieve; when it wants to. It’s selective in whom it goes after. That ain’t kosher.
    2. If you’re sooooo right, then why isn’t the dear leader saying that? Or are you the new Baghdad bob?

A fellow blogger here, found your site via Xoops, and I have a
piece of advice: write more. Honestly, you seem like you’re tailoring the entire article around the video clip. It’s obvious you know a
lot, so why not use your knowledge to write something more considerable and keep the
video as something secondary (if there at all)?
