Obama Accuses NRA of Ginning Up Fear, Warns Social Security Checks Won’t Go Out Unless GOP Raises Debt Ceiling

Barack Obama

The two-faced hypocrisy of this man is stunning.

President Obama warned Republicans on Monday against failing to raise the debt ceiling, saying the move would withhold money from American troops and Social Security recipients.

‘They will not collect ransom in exchange for not crashing the American economy,’ Obama said of House Republicans, many of whom have vowed to delay raising the debt ceiling until Obama commits to steep spending cuts.

Collect ransom? Really? Not ginning up any fear there, right? Meanwhile, after ginning up fear, he accuses the NRA of ginning up fear.

During his press conference today, President Obama signaled that gun organizations such as the National Rifle Association were “ginning up fear” to sell more guns.

“I think that we’ve seen for some time now that those who oppose any common sense gun control or gun safety measures have a pretty effective way of ginning up fear on the part of gun owners that somehow the federal government is about to take all your guns away,” Obama asserted, without directly mentioning the National Rifle Association. “There’s probably an economic element to that — it obviously is good for business.”

All the does is gin up fear. All day, every day, every election cycle. A non-stop climate of fear. And he’s got the balls to accuse the NRA of ginning up fear himself. Unreal. Meanwhile, fo a guy allegedly concerned about the debt ceiling, who does he continue to break the law by refusing to submit a budget?

Well…to be fair…Obama HAS submitted budgets.

That were promptly laughed off the floor by acclamation.

Not as good for business as you, Barry. Gun salesman of the century.

Folks concerned about this tyrant stomping on their Second Amendment rights don’t have to look to his pronouncements on a debt deal to find reason to be in fear.

In the same press conference Obama declared himself to have the authority to circumvent Congress in order to impose gun control by Executive Order.

Any fear that results from that promise/threat is real, not “ginned” up.
