Mike Bloomberg Group Repeatedly Eulogized Tamerlan ‘Speedbump’ Tsarnaev as ‘Victim’ of Gun Violence

As if nanny-state nightmare Michael Bloomberg hadn’t already sacrificed every last ounce of credibility with his nonstop intrusions into the daily life of New Yorkers, this should be the final nail in his political coffin. It’s one thing to naively think you can disarm law-abiding citizens, but when you count a dead terrorist as a so-called victim of gun violence, you should never again be taken seriously. He didn’t personally come out and say this, but it’s his group, so he owns this idiocy.

Michael Bloomberg’s group Mayors Against Illegal Guns has sparked a firestorm after mistakenly including the name of alleged Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev on a list of victims of gun violence.

It wasn’t a mistake. It was intentional.

Tsarnaev‘s name was read aloud during the No More Names event held Tuesday in Concord, New Hampshire, to promote stricter gun control laws.

Attendees of the rally were outraged to hear the Tsranaev memorialized alongside actual shooting victims, with at least one participant shouting, ‘He’s a terrorist!’ according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

The 26-year-old was shot dead in April during a police gun battle just days after Tamerlan and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, had allegedly set off two deadly explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Tsarnaev’s cause of death was listed on his death certificate as due to ‘gunshot wounds of torso and extremities and blunt trauma to head and torso.’

The blunt trauma was because his brother actually ran over him trying to get away, so why not ban SUVs while we’re at it? Oh wait, the lefties have been trying to do that already for two decades.

The organizers of the name-reading event, a 900-strong group that includes the New York City mayor and his Boston counterpart, Tom Menino, quickly apologized for the mix-up, saying in a statement that they relied on an interactive public tally of gun violence victims complied by the online magazine Slate.com.

Blaming it on a leftwing rag? Please. They used the name, they read the name and they’re so deluded by their warped ideology that to them Tsarnaev was a victim. Besides, they’d read it already and nobody said a word.

The mayors’ organization admitted that Tsarnaev’s name was likely read repeatedly during the previous tour stops, but the error had gone unnoticed until this week. New Hampshire GOP Chairwoman Jennifer Horn said in a statement that inclusion of Tsarnaev was ‘outrageous’ since he ‘was a murderous terrorist and a cold-blooded killer,’Concord Patch reported.

She also took a shot at Mayor Bloomberg’s group, lambasting it for being ‘out of touch with New Hampshire values that it believes this monster should be labeled as some kind of victim.’

Dan Kois, an editor at Slate, explained to The Atlantic Wire that Tsarnaev was purposely included on their list.

‘The interactive is a tally of all the people who’ve been killed by guns since the Newtown shootings. So it doesn’t differentiate between good guys and bad guys,’ he said.

‘We were studiously attempting to be as clear as possible that this was not victims of gun crimes…it was everybody that’s been killed by guns since Newtown.’

According to the editor, Tsarnaev was far from the only person on the list shot by law enforcement while committing a crime.

This group and anyone involved are frauds.   To count criminals and terrorists as “victims” of gun violence is absurd. In most, if not all cases these monsters themselves were the perpetrators of gun violence, yet they’re being lumped in to falsely inflate statistics used in a dubious cause to violate our rights. They should be shamed and shunned. They’ve lost all credibility.

Personally I think he should not have been shot and just had his legs amputated with a rusty hacksaw (anesthetic? antibiotics? nah), but I’m not in charge of these things.

I was going to ask how many other people’s names on the list were criminals killed in the course of committing felonies… and then the ediot* from Slate came right out and confirmed it. They really don’t get the moral distinction between violent offense and self-defense. They willfully conflated the two to mislead others. Mayors Against Illegal Guns went right along with it. This isn’t some oversight, but an indication that the rot goes right down to the center.

    * “ediot” (n.) – idiot editor. Possibly a redundancy.

Remember how they prattled on about only LEOs should have guns? And now we find that they demonize gun use by them too. So when is Bloomberg’s security detail going to disarm?

These are Modern Democrats. This is pandering to the Jihadist vote, pure and simple. Bloomberg and Co. do not care that the jihadist wants to kill all non-Muslims, they just want to insure that, in the mean time, the jihadist votes Democrat.

Liberals….just plain fun to watch these clowns, but make no mistake, their buffoonish ways are killing this country…they need to be made accountable.

Bloomberg looks like he’s trying to decide whether to scratch his ear or pick his nose, either way would amount to more than he’s done so far for the public good….Bloomberg, you jackass!

I’ll bet good money that those gun victims also include suicides via gun. Because blowing your head off with your hunting rifle is much worse than taking a high dive, off a tall building.

Yeah, they’re also illegally using NYC servers and network to host their websites.

Hope Bloomingidiot gets hit in the wallet on that one.

    Self-Righteous ASSHOLE.
