Kathleen Sebelius, Miley Cyrus, Obama Among Finalists for Time’s Person of the Year

Geez, really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. A smirk, a jerk and a twerk.

Well, at least Ted Cruz is on the list, so there’s one bright spot.

Here are the final ten contenders for TIME’s Person of the Year (listed alphabetically):

Bashar Assad, President of Syria

Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder

Ted Cruz, Texas Senator

Miley Cyrus, Singer

Pope Francis, Leader of the Catholic Church

Barack Obama, President of the United States

Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran

Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services

Edward Snowden, N.S.A. Leaker

Edith Windsor, Gay rights activist

They’ll probably go with Snowden.

My guess is either Snowden, Assad or The Pope (the last of which is my personal choice, along with Cruz). Sebelius would make sense, but only if ObamaCare rolled out and worked as advertised (which of course it didn’t and doesn’t).

The pressure NOT to choose Snowden will be intense
from the WH, but I think he is definitely the most important person of the year to Americans who still believe in freedom
and the rule of law. The Pope has already become the left’s
favorite symbol, except, of course, when it comes to promiscuity and abortion.

This is going to be a difficult competition. On one side, a principled conservative (Cruz) and the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church going up against His Holiness Obama, a mass murdering dictator (Assad), an overgrown, oversexed idiot (Cyrus), the Angel of Death Panels and a traitor. Perhaps the vote will be split and they’ll choose Bradley Manning as a compromise candidate.
