No, his name isn’t Biff Tannen. But he’s a butthead.
A Jefferson man who had been texting and talking on his phone while driving on a Grant County highway crashed into the back of a liquid manure trailer, spilling the smelly load all over the road, authorities reported.
The crash happened at about 11:30 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of Highway 151 south of Southwest Road in the town of Platteville, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release.
According to the sheriff’s office:
Matthew Bruhn, 37, was driving a rental car when it crashed into the manure trailer pulled by a tractor driven by Matthew Miller, 33, of Platteville.
“He had just finished texting and was on the phone speaking to an employee when he looked up just in time to hit the farm tractor,” the release stated.
Bruhn suffered a broken finger. No arrest was made or charges filed, but the case remains under investigation.
Hopefully one of his testing fingers. Welcome to 2013, Biff.
