IRS Cincinnati Employee Staging Hunger Strike to Protest Shutdown

This alone makes us wish the shutdown can go on indefinitely. Is this woman that lacking in self-awareness?

An Ohio woman who works at the Cincinnati offices of the IRS says she had been on a hunger strike for four days and does not intend to eat until the federal government reopens.

Donna Smith, from Morrow, Ohio, told that she only had water, tea and a nutritional shake for four days. She and  her colleagues have not been working as a result of the political gridlock.

“I do worry about myself financially and things like that, but I do have a supportive spouse.  We’re very blessed, and there’s a lot of people out there who don’t have that safety net,” Smith added.

Marvel at her idiocy. And you’ll get a chuckle when the reporter notes the Cincinnati office works as an advocate for taxpayers.

From the photos, she could stand to skip a few meals. Sorry, but I was forced into early retirement over two years ago because of the economy we’re suffering through. I’m just all out of tears for people like this. What’s her address? I’ll send her a can of cat food.

Welcome to Hope & Change Baby. Something folks have been enjoying since 2008.

Why did not go on a hunger strike when your fellow co-workers were illegally harassing taxpayers?

Get used to those shakes, cause this shutdown may got to the end of the year.

Riiiiight. From the Cincinnati office of the IRS, the same office that’s ground zero for the IRS scandal…

Are you sure that isn’t being punked by The Onion?
