Hysterical Tom Harkin: Politics Have Reached Civil War Levels

Posted by on Sep 27, 2013 at 1:03 pm

Now which side has brought us to Civil War levels? Those accusing the GOP of being terrorists and suicide bombers or by those who are trying to save America from going off the fiscal cliff? It’s really sad that these people can say such ridiculous things day after day and get away with it.

This isn’t just congressional business as usual, Harkin said. It’s much, much more dire:

“It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous. I believe, Mr. President, we are at one of the most dangerous points in our history right now. Every bit as dangerous as the break-up of the Union before the Civil War.”

This isn’t the first time the senator has spoken out about the spiraling budget and the fight over Obamacare. Harkin suggested Thursday that Cruz looked “foolish” for his “little tirade” that lasted from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning. Harkin called out Cruz as being part of “the most extreme tea-party wing” of his party, and for his “ideology-driven obstructionism.”

Just keep talking.

The reason Harkin and the rest of his detestable Democrat colleagues have the nerve to do this sort of thing, along with the outright lies, is because they have media cover. Nothing more, nothing less.

If the media were doing its traditional job in a traditional manner, things would most certainly not be the way they currently are. That is why the media should be treated as a hostile enemy, because these days, they are nothing more than part of the Democrats’ propaganda arm.
