How many normal families go through not but but now two lurid sexting scandals, the latest now forever immortalized by the name Carlos Danger. An interesting snippet from July 18, 2012:
In spite of rumors that he’s interested in running for mayor or Public Advocate, Weiner says, “I’m very happy in my present life. The only next dramatic steps I’m planning on are Jordan’s first.” And Abedin, who is an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, adds, “Anthony has spent every day since [the scandal] trying to be the best dad and husband he can be. I’m proud to be married to him… It took a lot of work to get to where are are today, but I want people to know we’re a normal family.“
Yeah, about that…
Former congressman and mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner addressed the new sexually explicit conversations he had with a young woman in a press conference just now. He admitted to sending the sexts, but said he wasn’t leaving the race, “What happened today—doesn’t represent all that much that is new.” But more notably, his wife Huma Abedin spoke at a press conference for the first time, “Anthony’s made some horrible mistakes. But I do very strongly believe it’s between us, and our marriage.”
Just pathetic. Even more pathetic. Then a palate cleanser. Oh, and if you’re into sexting and need a name, here you go. For the record, Barack Obama’s sexting name translates to Armando Catastrophe. Much more fun stuff from Ace.
Update: By the way, most news reportss today say Weiner leads in polls. But as of July 18 he trailed Christine Quinn by nine points, according to a Siena poll.
