Heh: College Grads Receive Diplomas Recognized by Commonwealth of ‘Virgina’

How much is a college degree worth these days? Not much if you got one from Radford University, although maybe all the newly unemployed graduates could put these on eBay and make a couple of bucks.

Hundreds of Radford University graduates received diplomas in the mail over the weekend that had Virginia spelled incorrectly.

The university remained unaware of the error – the third ‘I’ was missing from ‘Virginia’until Tuesday morning, when a graduate notified officials.

The school has now acknowledged that more than 1,400 students, both undergraduate and graduate students who graduated in the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013, received the marred diplomas.

It has also confirmed that the word ‘thereto’ had been mis-spelt as ‘therto.’

University spokesman Joe Carpenter blamed human error exacerbated by computer technology.

We blame the failure to proofread and inability to spell. Idiots.

Thank Christ that colleges have been adding so many adminstrators; otherwise, it might have sucked.

You’d think that portion of the diploma would have been part of a template and used for years. I wonder how many diplomas have that same error.

That’s almost as good as a few years ago when the Naval Academy issued diplomas from the “Navel” Academy. You can imagine the jokes made by the non ring-knockers.
