Great News: ObamaCare Website Has No System for Exchange Payment

This should work out well.

U.S. insurers fear that a surge in enrollments on the revamped government-run healthcare website could create more problems for insurance companies already struggling with error-filled applications for coverage three weeks before a sign-up deadline.

In what could become the next major headache for President Barack Obama’s signature domestic policy, a group representing leading U.S. insurers said on Tuesday that technology fixes that will enable millions of people to sign on to have not fully addressed faulty data that the site has been sending these companies about their new enrollees.

The problems include enrollment forms with erroneous personal information and duplicate or missing applications. In some cases, consumers who believe they have signed up may not have a file with the insurer.

Oh well, it’s not as if people will need to see a doctor come January. Meanwhile, Obama’s $634 million website that really hasn’t been fixed has no means for people to actually pay for the lousy plans they get sign up for. Yes, really:

There’s still one hitch. doesn’t work, at all. Sure, it provides a remarkably realistic user experience, but as of now it’s basically a video game. A really, really boring video game. Call it Sim Healthcare.

This is because the so-called back end essentially doesn’t exist. That’s the part of the site that talks to the insurance companies, processes payments, and actually, you know, gets people enrolled on insurance plans.

Reports vary on whether it needs to be “fixed” or whether it still needs to be built. On November 19, Henry Chao, the administration official in charge of overseeing the site, told Congress that “the accounting systems, the payment systems, they still need to be” created. Going by the rosy version of Chao’s estimate, that was roughly 30 to 40 percent of the system.

“It’s not built, let alone tested,” one insurance executive told the Washington Post last week.

An apoplectic Megyn Kelly discussed the disaster with Avik Roy Tuesday night:

Obama has no idea how the world works.

Everything he’s ever gotten appears to have been courtesy of coercion and blackmail.

So why would it ever occur to him that a cash register is needed?

This is why they think ‘number of visitors to the website’ means ‘enrolled’.

No clue. Clueless. Devoid of all clues. Clue challenged. Clue Tank on empty.

I resigned myself to accepting Mr. Obama as our president. I didn’t vote for him. However, I had hoped that he would become a great president, a leader like Mr. Mandela. Instead what we have today is a young man, over his head in the presidency and each day creating even more havoc for us all. Today, I asked myself why didn’t we get someone like a Mandela instead of an inexperienced person desiring to stuff down our throats a socialistic idea that can’t possible work in a free country. I am so tired of him breaking one constitutional law after another to force himself on a populous that does not buy his ideology of socialism. My regret at the moment is that the only other party that we have doesn’t seem to have the leadership to lead a great country like the U.S. This is something for all Americans who value their constitutional freedoms to be concerned. God, please help us. As the patroness of America, Blessed Mother please intercede with your divine Son to help this great nation.
