George Zimmerman Emerges From Hiding, Rescues Passenger From Overturned Truck

George Zimmerman’s a hero, according to this police report revealed today.

George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, emerged to help rescue someone who was trapped in an overturned truck, police said today.

Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman “pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over” at the intersection of a Florida highway last week. Florida Highway Patrol is now handling the case, McAuliffe said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where he shot Martin.

It’s the first known sighting of Zimmerman since he left the courtroom following his acquittal last week on murder charges for the death of Martin. Zimmerman, 29, shot and killed Martin, 17, in Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26, 2012. The jury determined that Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense.

When was the last time Al Sharpton helped someone out? We hope to get some more facts here since we’re sure people won’t believe the story. For example, from the comments at ABC:

You can’t fix stupid.

Update: Apparently the nefarious Zimmerman had an accomplice.

Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told Fox News that Zimmerman, 29, was identified by a crash victim as the man who pulled him from the mangled vehicle.

“George Zimmerman pulled me out,” firefighters were told by the unidentified driver, according to McAuliffe.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said the single-car accident occurred July 17 at approximately 5:45 pm. and involved a blue Ford Explorer SUV that had left the road and rolled over.

The sheriff’s office said there were four occupants inside — two parents and two children.

The responding deputy said that when he arrived, two men — one of whom was Zimmerman — had already gotten the family out of the overturned vehicle.

Update: The vehicle the family was pulled from reportedly was on fire. Prompting yet more Zimmerman Derangement Syndrome:

Waiting for Rat Face Holder to try charging Zimmerman with a crime. I know…he didn’t commit a crime this time. But he didn’t commit a crime against Thug Martin, either.

With Obama and the DOJ it’s an islamo/fag/hate whitey (a light skinned Hispanic will do in a pinch) thing.
    All day. Every day.

The screenshots above represent a very vile approach to life. George Zimmerman, once one got past the first wave of sensationalist reports, has always sounded like a good neighbor that might also be a little busybody-ish.
I was a paramedic for a number of years and worked in other healthcare areas. I’ll tell you something about incidents like traffic accidents: almost anyone can be compassionate or even heroic for ten minutes. Nearly anyone who is first on-scene will scout for hazards, make some assessment of who is injured, help guide traffic around and so on. It shows our good side but it proves relatively little unless there’s a serious hazard like fire or the vehicle is submerged.
There’s another form of neighborliness, of compassion. It’s taking a lock to the neighbor whose deadbolt isn’t working. Real neighborliness is cleaning up trash as you take your normal walk. Real neighborliness is calling the non-emergency line when you see your neighbor’s garage is open and that’s not how your neighbor does things. It’s stopping at stop signs instead of rolling them and it’s a thousand small things, often done in silence and invisibility. It’s teaching your children to do the same things. I’ll add: it’s cleaning up behind your dog!
