Four supects have been arrested in the fatal shooting of a Hoboken lawyer during a carjacking outside the Mall at Short Hills on Sunday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s office.
A press conference has been scheduled for 9 a.m. this morning to announce the details.
Their names, ages and addresses were not immediately released.
A $41,000 reward had been offered in an effort to identify the assailants.
Dustin Friedland, 30, was killed as he and his wife were heading to their car in an upper level mall parking deck, following an evening of shopping. Initially, police said two men confronted the couple over their 2012 silver Range Rover at about 9 p.m. A struggle ensued and Friedland was shot once in the head at close range, sources told The Star-Ledger.

The four, all from Newark, were identified as Karif Ford, 31, Besim Henry, 32, Kevin Roberts, 35, and Hanif Thompson, 29. All were being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility on $2 million bail each.
Thompson was taken into custody in Irvington. Ford and Roberts were arrested in Newark. Henry was arrested at a hotel in Easton Pa., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray said in a statement.
All four have been charged with murder, felony murder carjacking conspiracy and weapons possession, Murray said.
