Democrat Darling Cory Booker May Mandate Armed Guards, Curfews For Newark Businesses After Recent Violence

Armed guards? Well now, that won’t go over well in Democrat circles, will it?

The recent bloodshed at a Bergen Street bodega and an IHOP right across the street from busy University Hospital has Newark officials again talking about curfews and armed security.

“Irvington closes their bars an hour before we do. East Orange closes restaurants at 10 p.m., so why in Newark [do] we let folks kind of have their way and go a lot later?” Newark Mayor Cory Booker asked.

Booker vetoed a measure last year that would have mandated late-night establishments have armed guards, citing the cost to local businesses, 1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg reported.

Well, maybe had he not vetoed it so many wouldn’t have died. Can we say he’s got blood on his hands? Now the left loves to portray this guy as some kind of superhero because he once rescued a cat, but what about the rampant violence plaguing his city? Or is this a case like with Obama where no failures can be attached to him because, well, racist.

Booker called the latest violence “unacceptable” and urged the public to get involved.

Well, if whatever law-abiding citizens that are left are able to arm themselves, then maybe they would get involved.

Democrat circles? All big cities are democrat run, violent cesspools. They don’t care, in fact they like it because it’s a perpetual excuse to redistribute even more.

And you’re complaining because he didn’t mandate that businesses have armed guards? If he would have, you’d call that anti-business and anti-freedom…and you would have been right.

Yeah, why do they let folks kind of have their way? Everyone knows the job of an elected government is to decide what the rest of us should do, and make us do it.

Does he not understand that the public DID get involved and that the violence was just a feature of that involvement. He should have been more clear as to which segment of the public he wanted involved,,,,IDIOT.

“we let folks kind of have their way and go a lot later?” Newark Mayor Cory Booker asked.

That city has a black majority population. Why is he telling black people that they can’t “have their own way”? Sen. Sheets Byrd would be proud of this racist thug. Oh wait. it’s not racism when someone black is a racist……Somehow……Squirrel!

“urged the public to get involved.”

Translation: He’s facing the same problem that other mayors face; populations that will not cooperate with police and who will foster gang activity. And it sounds nice, so there’s that.
